The parkland, where the chalet was built in 1860, was a gift from Vittorio Emanuele King of Italy to his personal doctor who saved his life. The King allowed him to make the perfect copy of his hunting house in the Royal Reserve of S. Rossore in Tuscany. It is a 2 floors building plus a tower (where the master suite is)and spacious wooden covered terraces overlooking Lake Maggiore which is only 100 mt. away.
The house and the park have been completely restored and renovated just a few years ago in the "800 piemontese" style. All the installations and the 9 bathrooms are new.
Ground floor: large kitchen equipped with ancient furniture, 3 living rooms, spacious wooden veranda, dining room a guest bathroom.
Night guests area: 5 double bed rooms, one single, 4 bath rooms. All the rooms have french doors on to the garden with stunning lake view.
Master suite with frescoed ceiling, two bathrooms, small kitchen, study and a large terrace.
Caretaker's house: two rooms, one bathroom.
One more staff bedroom plus bathroom at the bedroom's floor.
The floors, made by venetian mosaic, lombard cotto and big oak-boards, have been restored by expert artisans.

The park is a 6500 sqmt. historical garden perfectly kept. Huge centennial trees: sequoias, beech, oaks, 200 azaleeas trees more than two meters high, gardenias, hortensias, roses and a nice vinyard all around the large lawn where the pool is and on which the french doors of the living area overlook. The heated pool frame has been made from an old marble staircase. The property has his private water well, and the irrigation is divided in different areas covering the whole park.
